Why ClormaticŪ?

ClormaticŪ is the most technologically advanced in-line Chlorine Generator or Salt Generator available today and is manufactured entirely in the USA.

The ClormaticŪ Chlorinator uses a process known as electrolysis to produce sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) from a low concentration of salt added to the pool water. Hypochlorite kills bacteria, oxidizes organic material, and kills algae then reverts back to salt. The salt is then reused by the Chlorinator and the process starts over again.

The ClormaticŪ system is comprised of the following three component parts:

Power supply:

  • True One touch built in salinity meter
  • Automatic low water temperature cut-off
  • Automatic visual warning when salinity drops below 2500 PPM (2.5 GPL)
  • Automatic cut-off when salinity drops below 2000 PPM (2.0GPL)
  • Advanced self-diagnostics
  • Audible visual alarms that display service codes
  • Compatible with 110v or 220v
  • User friendly, One Touch Liquid Crystal display (LCD)

Note: The power supply converts AC electrical current to a low voltage DC current which is required by the cell to perform the electrolysis. The power supply is connected with the pool circulation pump electrical source so that the electrolytic cell only operates when the pool pump is on. The flow portion of the Flow / Salinity Sensor is a backup device only.

Cell

  • Self cleaning electrolytic cell
  • Easy installation

The electrolytic cell contains bipolar electrodes, which perform the electrolysis and produce chlorine when energized with DC current. Chlorine is generated as pool water containing salt passes through the cell. The chlorine production can be varied by either adjusting the Chlorine Production Level on the power supply or by varying the number of hours the Chlorinator is on each day; or by integrating with an Automatic Controller.

The Chlorinator automatically cleans the Cell electrodes once every few hours. This does not interrupt the production of Chlorine.

Flow / Salinity Sensor

The Flow / Salinity Sensor only allows the Cell to operate if there is adequate water flow through the Cell. The salinity portion of the Flow / Salinity Sensor detects the level of salt in the pool water. This salt level is displayed in grams per liter (gpl) on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) whenever the salinity button is pressed. This eliminates the need for manual pool water salinity testing.
