SALT PURE® RESCUE
It is a small world, after all !!
TMI installed a Salt Pure® System on a Health Club
pool in Virginia as a test for future pool conversions.
While sitting at an industry roundtable, my
customer was informed that one of the members of
the roundtable had a Salt Pure® system installed
about 5 or 6 years ago, and while they loved the feel
of the water, the system had never quite functioned
properly, and they had reverted back to chlorine.
The company who sold them the system had
attempted to bring the system back on line but he
was unable to find the problem.
This was passed on to me as a challenge. “If you can
get this system back on-line, a number of the
participants in the round table will be interested in
your Salt Pure® system”. The club in question
happened to be owned by the Spearman family in S.
California.
Working with the electrician I was able to understand
the problem and correct it. A few weeks later I had
the pleasure of meeting Steve Spearman at the Club
and spent a pleasant afternoon with him working on
both the pool and Spa Salt Pure® systems, and
going over operation of the systems and trouble
shooting.
About a month later I revisited the pool and the
water quality was fantastic, see for yourself in the
picture above. At last contact, Steve
emailed me the following “..LNRC ( Laguna Niguel
Raquet Club) is rocking" and asked if I would
provide a bid to convert the second of their 3 clubs.
Moral of the story: You can buy virtually the same
kind of equipment as TMI Salt Pure® systems but
without a knowledgable (and available) support staff,
you may still have problems. In the case mentioned
above, the knowledge was really the key as the
previous vendor tried everything he knew in good
faith to fix the system, but was not
experienced enough with this product mix to
understand the problem! His motivation was not the
issue, it was his lack of experience with this kind of

QUICK TIP: TO LOWER pH WITHOUT AFFECTING
TOTAL ALKALINITY, SIMPLY DILUTE MURIATIC ACID
WITH WATER (50/50). Note, always add chemicals
to water, not the other way round!

ARE USED TO CLEAN YOUR POOL DECK AND TILES DO
