The City and Borough of Juneau Alaska, Augustus Brown Swimming Pool purchased the TMI Salt Pure® Sanitizing system in April of 1998. We now have two years of experience with this system. It was installed on two separate pools within the same facility. To give an indication of size, the Lap pool is 210,000 gallons and the Recreational pool is 38,000 gallons. This facility is open on average of 16 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Before deciding on the TMI Salt Pure® system as the replacement to the gas chlorination system, we conducted extensive research for a viable replacement. The Salt Pure® system looked good in every way except for locating another aquatic facility of comparable size to get a track record on this system's performance. We decided that the potential benefits out weighed the lack of testimonials. Our criteria was:

a system that minimized the amount and type of chemicals used to disinfect the water,

a system that was easy to maintain, a system that would keep the water clean and dear,

and a system that was safe to operate for customers and staff.

By using the TMI Salt Pure® system we were able to eliminate the following:

safety equipment and training required for the previous gas Chlorination system,

maintenance required for the gas system,

record keeping and inspection of the gas system, space to store gas cylinders,

and the potential safety hazard of a gas leak.

It took awhile for us to acclimatize to the new system however our customers were noticeable happier from the day of.installation. Overall, the Salt Pure ® system is easier to manage and it keeps both bodies of water dear, blue and dean.

One other point, the Salt Pure® system was purchased through TMI in Port Orchard, Washington. This company is owned and operated by Timothy and Michele Petsch . They have been exceptional to work with and extremely helpful in the area of technical support.

We highly recommend the Salt Pure ® system because it works and makes sense.
