About Us
TMI MISSION STATEMENT
TMI is an Aquatic Company with a unique emphasis on Partnering and Sustainability.
With Salt Pure® equipment and Chemistry Controllers as the core products, TMI pursues excellence by partnering directly with client facilities to provide sustainable solutions and a healthier aquatic environment. From the design phase through daily pool operations, TMI is your resource, year after year.
WHY IS TMI DIFFERENT?
There is no other commercial aquatic company in the United States that focuses solely on Salt Pure®. TMI was the first company in the US to successfully take Salt Pure® and Chemistry Control into the commercial market and in order to achieve that has developed a deep knowledge base and an intensive customer support program. TMI has coined the term Aquatic Partnering to describe this process. Since 1991, TMI has recognized the need for sustainability, and has concentrated on reducing the carbon foot print and energy usage of each Aquatic Center that we work with, in a sustainable manner.
WHY IS TMI BETTER?
Being the first, and in order to succeed, TMI had to develop a deep knowledge base and prioritize customer support to
a new level of excellence. Partnering allows us to understand the day to day issues that the pool operator faces. Rather than deal with random questions, we can assist the operator sustain his water quality and solve his pool related problems more efficiently and with superior results. Not only is each TMI Tech Support Rep (TSR) CPO® Certified, but our management team is also CPO® certified. TMI is also a CPO® instructor company.

Timothy Petsch
Timothy is co-founder of TMI and carries the title of Managing Director; he is responsible for the technical side of the company and focuses on relationships that drive to revenue. His business history is the blend of practical experience in fields ranging from construction in Africa to off-shore oil platforms in the North Sea, to renewable energy in the installation and sales of Solar Heating
in S. California; to the corporate boardrooms of America during his decade long tenure with Bank
of America in their Securities Service division of Mergers and Acquisitions. It was during this
phase of his career that he was instrumental in designing the support structure of Master Limited Partnerships that helped the Bank to distinguish itself from others in the field. But it is TMI Salt Pure® that Timothy is most proud of in his list of accomplishments. It was when Timothy swam
in a pool in Kihei (that was sanitized with a chlorine generator), in early 1990 that the vision for
Salt Pure® was born; and it was the struggle to be recognized in the commercial aquatic field
that defined who TMI was going to become.
Through his varied business experience Timothy learnt many of the basic tenants that now drive TMI, but the most profound lesson he learnt was that if you treat your customers and business associates in a moral manner and put client satisfaction before revenue generation, you will create a sustainable corporation built on strong ethics. |

Michele Petsch
As co-founder and the Financial / Marketing Director for TMI Salt Pure® Corporation, I am responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the organization specifically as it relates
to financial & administrative functions. This includes database & systems management, website development, marketing and bidding.
Over the last few years, I have been concentrating on the development of our approach to the market. What distinguishes TMI from other Aquatic Companies is our focus on customer education and technical support. Our company philosophy is one that promotes the idea of empowerment through education in every direction – staff and customers. This has been a rewarding project
for me as it has allowed me to discover my passion and aptitude for systems design and implementation. I graduated from Natal University in South Africa in 1980 with an Honors degree
in Economic History and from the Graduate School of Marketing, Durban, SA in 1987. |

Stacey Browning - East Coast Office
I am part of the Technical Support team here at TMI. I assist our commercial customers with
any and all pool related issues. As a previous Navy Nuclear mechanic with an enduring interest
in Chemistry, I really enjoy being a part of the operational side of things. Troubleshooting a challenging issue – whether with equipment or water quality – keeps me on my toes. I like working in Customer Support as I enjoy the aspect of assisting PEOPLE, and not just fixing EQUIPMENT. I especially enjoy going out on site and doing training sessions. Nothing makes me happier than helping a customer feel more confident and capable with their own system. I am CPO certified and look forward to becoming a CPO instructor. I believe in TMI as a company and what we provide to our customers and how we empower them to understand and control their own equipment. |

Kate Cunha
I am a Technical Support Representative at TMI working with each of my accounts for the first month of the system integration period, fine tuning the operation of the system and instructing the end user on operation of the Salt Pure® equipment. After the initial integration period, I become the primary tech support contact for troubleshooting should any issue arise. Being fluent in Spanish, I also handle calls from the Latin American market.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000 with Bachelors of Arts degrees in Spanish Studies and Theatre Arts. Previously, I worked in customer service and public health and have spent time traveling abroad.
In February of 2008, shortly after joining TMI, I became a Certified Pool Operator. TMI was my introduction to the world of commercial aquatics and I very much enjoy my position. My varied career background has only served to enhance my ability to assist clients with whatever they should need. I particularly enjoy the relationships that my job allows me to build and the variety of daily challenges that it provides.
